These ASOS Tops Are Trending So Hard They're Bound to Sell Out
ASOS can be relied upon for many things: the latest swimwear trends (even the most extreme ones), a parade of polished event dresses at decent price points (and in an array of curve-friendly sizes), some of the coolest brands on the high street all in one place (Mango, Stories, Weekday et al) and great skinny jeans, to name but a few.
Recently, one category has proven to be most bountiful. ASOS's top selection runs the gamut from streetwear-ready ribbed '90s-style cropped tees to pretty milkmaid blouses for girls who like their summer vibe utterly romantic. Certain styles have been all over our feeds, leading to particular colourways and key pieces selling out fast. The first time we featured the statement-sleeved checked bodice top (see below), we saw countless women clicking to purchase—including some in our office.
That being said, keep scrolling to see the ASOS tops that are taking up the most basket (and mental) space for all fashion girls right now…
1. CHECKED TOPS
By some sort of small miracle, this checked waffle top is still in stock—even though we know it's been selling like crazy. The popularity of this one piece has led to other similar styles being created to keep up with demand. See our favourites below.
2. MILKMAID BLOUSES
The kind of tops that are full in the bust, puffed on the sleeves and often shirred at the waist define a kind of prairie-girl or milkmaid aesthetic that has really taken off this summer.

3. BUTTON-UPS
No matter how hard we tried, every time this button-through ribbed cardigan came back online, it kept selling out. However, it has sparked a trend for similarly versatile little tops—many of which are below.
4. TIE-DYE
From oversized sweatshirts to tight mesh tops, there's a lot of tie-dye going on over at ASOS. The trend has been wholeheartedly picked up by girls across the globe, and in some pretty jazzy colourways too. Tops are one of the easiest ways to wear tie-dye, so it's not surprising this section is overflowing with options.
