Victoria Beckham's Runway Look Is Going to Surprise You
The truly Victoria Beckham–obsessed amongst you may remember a moment when the lady in question was papped playing football in jeans and heels. 'Twas a long, long time ago, but a joyous photo op nonetheless, and one that remains forever etched in our memories for her sheer dedication to the cause of fashion. Since then Mrs. Beckham's style empire has grown phenomenally—she's a revered business woman and a respected designer, creating the kind of clothes that we all can't help but want to buy on repeat—on the regular.
On Victoria Beckham: Victoria Beckham sweater and trousers; Adidas Originals Stan Smith Leather Sneakers (£69).
Not only is her runway chock-full of takeaway inspiration for voracious shoppers (A/W 16's memo: layered checks and stripes, and keep all hemlines long), but it's what she wears on her runway for the end-of-show bow that is just as influential. So when VB shyly stepped out onto her catwalk in a camel ribbed knit, woolen tailored trousers and bright-white Adidas sneakers, the fashion mood changed. Yes, there's talk of stacked high heels making a mega comeback for 2016, but if our bellwether of all things chic is choosing to go coolly casual in trainers, well, there's no denying this footwear genre has plenty of mileage left in it.
