Keira Knightley Just Made the Chicest Baby Bump Debut in Chanel
I mean, what else is one to do? You're Keira Knightley: mega-star, Chanel muse, and en Paris for one night only. It only makes sense to pick the prettiest gown from your favorite Parisian fashion house and step out onto the town looking like an angel, right? That's exactly what the British actress did last night, opting for a diaphanous chiffon empire-line gown to wear with a pair of elegant metallic strappy sandals, perfectly tousled hair, and a smattering of delicate Chanel jewels.
One other lovely thing may catch your eye: Knightley's baby bump. For many outside of Keira's closest circle—aka all of us—this exciting debut came as completely brand-new information. Knightley's second baby with her husband, James Righton (who was also by her side, looking rather dapper in a smart black suit), will join their 3-year-old daughter, Edie, soon enough. The debut comes just one day after Blake Lively executed her own surprise baby bump reveal on the red carpet.
Empire-line silhouettes have been a go-to for chic pregnant ladies across the decades, and a timeless dress such as this is the kind of charming style that lends itself well to different stages throughout one's pregnancy—even if you don't buy one from a maternity section or brand and instead just size up. Keira was photographed earlier this year in April wearing yet another Chanel gown with an empire-line bust, featuring chiffon ruffles cascading down the front.
Later on in the evening Keira left Chanel's cocktail celebration of the J12 watch (see the white timepiece on her left wrist—that's the one) with the addition of a neat little black Chanel evening bag—further proof if you ever needed it that black accessories really do go with everything, even the fanciest and lightest of pretty frocks.
