A Reformation Store Is Opening in My Neighborhood—7 Things I'm Telling My Local Friends to Shop First
See my top picks from each category.
I've been a loyal, enthusiastic Reformation shopper for over a decade, so when I heard the news that a brick-and-mortar store was opening in early 2026 in my Raleigh, North Carolina, neighborhood, I was thrilled to say the least. Not having a store near me to shop at certainly hasn't stopped me from placing very frequent orders over the years, and at this point, I'm pretty skilled at figuring out what sizes I need and how something will look and feel in person. Several of my local friends have told me that they prefer to see something IRL before purchasing and therefore don't have a closet filled with Reformation pieces—yet.
The store isn't even open yet, but I'm already getting questions about what to buy when it does, as my Ref obsession is no secret to those who know me. Many people still think of Reformation primarily for dresses, and yes, the brand's dresses are amazing, but other categories are equally as strong. Those less obvious, IYKYK finds are where I'm steering my friends. Keep scrolling to find out what they are and shop my current must-haves.
Denim
Reformation has every current denim trend your wardrobe needs in a slew of washes. Much to my delight, certain styles come in Short lengths, which will decrease the frequency of my trips to the tailor.
Satin Pieces
The satin trend shows no signs of fading, and no one does it like Reformation. Its lace-trimmed pieces are particularly covetable.
High-Quality Sweaters
Reformation has a vast array of cashmere, regenerative wool, cotton, and alpaca sweaters, and the ones I own are some of the most worn in my closet year after year.
Leather Bomber Jackets
The pieces from Reformation's ongoing collaboration with the leather brand Veda will never let you down. Understandably given the trend, the leather bomber jackets are extremely popular. The price points are great for leather jackets of this quality.
Pull-On Pants
While I adore Reformation's tailored trousers, it's the pull-on pants that I gravitate toward. There are options in a wide variety of fits, colors, prints, and fabrics, all of which are constantly selling out.
Two-Piece Sets
What I love most about two-piece sets is that you get more bang for your buck thanks to the mixing-and-matching possibilities. Ref consistently has sets of every type and for every occasion, so you're pretty much guaranteed to find the coolest version of exactly what you're looking for.
Pretty Tops
In addition to pretty dresses, Reformation makes some very pretty tops, both casual and night-out worthy.
Stunning with or without the matching skirt.
